Emerald Glen Homes
Developmentally disabled people have dreams, hopes and aspirations just like you. They want a decent home, meaningful relationships, the opportunity to take pride in work, and to be treated with dignity and respect. Because of de-institutionalization and advanced medical care, for the first time in history, developmentally disabled people are now living into their senior years. Their parents, if still living, are elderly and increasingly unable to provide ongoing care for their adult children. Few, if any, special supportive services for developmentally disabled seniors are available. The need is acute.
Emerald Glen Homes is a not-for-profit organization providing quality new homes and special support to developmentally disabled mature adults and seniors of Hayward and Alameda County. Groundbreaking is scheduled for Spring of 2007. |
